Tungsten West managing director James McFarlane resigns

Tungsten West plc’s managing director James McFarlane has resigned with immediate effect to return to consultancy work.

Mr McFarlane was formerly mining technical services manager at Hemerdon, under previous owners Wolf Minerals.

He re-joined the operation for Tungsten West as technical and operations director before being promoted to managing director in February 2022.

Mr McFarlane played a key role in Tungsten West’s IPO process and completed two feasibility studies either side of a re-engineering project.

He has also been instrumental in assembling a team to put the project on the path to production.

Over the next three months, Mr McFarlane will remain with the company to support permitting and funding activities.

Chief executive Neil Gawthorpe said: “On behalf of the board and entire Tungsten West team, I would like to thank James for his contribution to the company and the role he has played in our progress towards re-starting operations at Hemerdon.

“We wish him all the best in his return to consultancy.”
