Exploration licence 32139-HQ-LEL, covering 41.2 km2, is 100% owned by the company’s 96% owned subsidiary, Tertiary Minerals (Zambia) Ltd.

Geological and exploration contractor, Geo-Junction Consulting Ltd, will begin an initial soil sampling programme to collect 460 samples on a 300x300m offset grid.

In-field sample preparation and real-time reporting by portable X-ray Fluorescence (pXRF) analytical results will allow allow for immediate infill sampling of areas of anomalous soil geochemistry.

The company said it would focus on copper-in-soil anomalies identified during review of historical exploration data.

Executive chairman Patrick Cheetham added he hoped the soil sampling would confirm historically identified copper-in-soil anomalies and form a solid base for future exploration.

“Momentum is now building for our current exploration season.

“Drilling is in progress at Konkola West with KoBold Metals and Mwashia Resources and we announced last week the consolidation of three additional projects into our new subsidiary, Copernicus Minerals, where drilling plans are also being advanced.”
