Tertiary Minerals plc has appointed Richard Belcher as managing director, effective following the company’s general meeting on 7 March.
Dr Belcher has more than 22 years’ post PhD geological experience as a contractor and
consulting geologist and he was the company’s exploration manager in Zambia.
His experience covers a variety of commodities from early stage to resource
definition, with a strong emphasis on Africa and with junior explorers.
Dr Belcher’s was most recently VP exploration with ANS Exploration Corp and he was also senior consulting geologist at Altus Strategies plc, now named Elemental Altus Royalties Corp.
He was based in South Africa for more a decade and his field experience includes significant work in Zambia.
Dr Belcher has a BSc Honours in Mineral Exploration from Cardiff University, a PhD in Geology from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and he was also awarded an MSc Finance from Leicester University.
He is additionally a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists and a Chartered Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
Dr Belcher currently holds 873,362 shares in Tertiary, representing 0.024% of its issued
ordinary share capital, and 2 million warrants issued at 0.1225p per share.
