Star Energy appoints Aneliya Erdly as board NED

Star Energy Group plc has appointed Aneliya Erdly to the board as an independent non-executive director, with immediate effect.

Ms Aneliya, who will be a member of the remuneration committee, is an executive with more than 18 years in power projects execution and asset management.

Her experience includes building from scratch and running renewable energy generation businesses, as well as assisting businesses with energy transition strategies.

Ms Erdly has held senior management positions with international, independent energy producers operating globally and specifically in Central, Eastern and Western Europe, and the EU.

Her sector expertise includes origination and business development, structuring the investment theses for renewable energy platforms, energy transition work, M&A and project financing and portfolio management. 

She has acquired, developed, constructed and managed sizeable solar, wind, hydro, landfill gas, storage, and biomass project portfolios. Ms Erdly has originated and developed over 10GW of renewable projects worldwide.

As a project developer she has worked with multi-lateral funding agencies, local commercial and international banks focused on clean energy project finance. 

Ms Erdly is currently a strategic advisor to fund manager NTR plc and also sits on the investment committee of Globeleq.

Prior to this she was a CEO of Silver Ridge Power, a multi-billion renewables portfolio company of Riverstone and The AES Corporation.

Ms Erdly has also held executive, non-executive and advisory positions with The AES Corporation, Trafigura, Eco Atlantic Oil and Gas, the International Finance Corporation and KPMG.

Star Energy is expects to appoint another NED shortly.
