WASTE ORE

Operations had stopped due to the pandemic, but the Australian company is now focused on expanding tunnels to mine through rock which has no gold in order to provide access points to the ore drives.

Miners are currently working in restricted spaces which in turn limits room to bring ore out.

The company has a small stockpile of ore but is working on waste development before extracting more gold.

Scotgold also recently rented a second new T1D drill rig and a second-hand ST2G scooptram from Epiroc UK & Ireland.

The earthwork platform for the plant has been completed and the company is assessing how to move machinery and stock onto the concrete slabs.

After installation of the main parts of the machinery, the building around the site will be erected followed by wiring and plumbing in readiness for gold mining.

Production will be in two phases due to “capitalising constraints” resulting in phase I of half production of 36,000 tonnes per annum.

Generated finance will feed into full production of 72,000 tonnes per annum during phase II.
