Rockhopper extends Falkland licences

Rockhopper Exploration plc has secured a two-year extension to all its licences in the North and South Falkland Basin.

The Falkland Islands Government granted the extension until 31 December 2026.

In the North Falkland Basin, Rockhopper holds a 35% interest in licence PL032, containing the Sea Lion discovery extending into PL004, and PL033.

The company states that Sea Lion alone has 1.7 billion barrels oil in place with independently audited 500 million barrels of 2C recoverable resources.

Rockhopper also has 35% in PL004A, containing Isobel-Elaine, PL004B with Zebedee, and PL004C.

Operator Navitas Petroleum LP holds a 65% working interest.

In the South & East Falkland Basin Rockhopper holds a 100% working interest in and operates PL011, PL012 and PL014.
