PRIORITY

The company was due to meet its local partner this week to try to reach an agreement.

However “military developments” in the east of the country and demonstrations yesterday in Kinshasa have affected the schedule.

All offices and official locations were closed and people remained in their homes.

The company said that the process remained “on track and a priority” and hoped to continue work today.

Chairman Andrew Bell added he expected to remain in the DRC until the matter was concluded.
