Red Rock Resources plc said it will submit further documents in its arbitration case against its local partner in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
PROGRESS
The dispute relates to the sale of certain copper-cobalt assets in Katanga by VUP (Vumilia Pendeza SA) without Red Rock’s permission.
Red Rock holds 50.1% of the joint venture which was established in 2019.
The company today said that at a working meeting, the arbitrator suggested that both parties supply each other with any additional documents before trying to reach a consensus on arrangements.
Red Rock was following this up over this Thursday and Friday.
The arbitrator will then conclude matters.
Chairman Andrew Bell added: “The parties are all looking to finalise this matter.
“Yesterday’s working meetings achieved more progress than the last 29 months, and we are relieved to now be in a process designed to expedite settlement.”
