Red Rock Resources plc said it was exploring possible co-operation with US-based third parties on copper-cobalt and a lithium joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Red Rock chairman Andrew Bell said that the company was conducting due diligence on some potential co-operation with a US investor in the cobalt-copper space.
He added that the company was also researching lithium opportunities and had initialled a possible joint venture.
“The electric battery field is seen as an important one for both of us, and no metal has better prospects or is more critical than lithium.”
