Rathlin Energy (UK) plc said it would apply for more time to drill and test the second well at West Newton B in East Yorkshire.

ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT

The company’s current planning permission states that operations must be completed by April 2022.

The original development approved was for two wells to be drilled and tested.

Following results from the West Newton B1z well, as well as West Newton A wells, Rathlin said it would request further time to drill and test the second well at the site.

The application will not make any changes to the proposed development activity, added the company

Rathlin aims to submit its application by the end of the year to East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
