Rathlin Energy (UK) Ltd has appointed Paul Harris as an independent non-executive director of the board, with immediate effect.

Mr Harris is a chartered engineer with 35 years’ experience within the energy sector.
He has a technical, regulatory and commercial background and a track record of delivering UK oil and gas projects.
Mr Harris’ previous roles include chief executive officer and chief operating officer at UK operator NEO Energy, president of Nexen Petroleum USA ( CNOOC International), VP engineering & construction (Nexen Energy) and developments director (Nexen UK).
He was initially COO before combining the role with that of CEO to help establish NEO.
Mr Harris also served as a non-executive director on the board of Offshore Energies UK (OEUK).
He represented NEO’s interests in the joint operating council for OEUK, as well as managing relationships with partners, government, regulatory bodies, banks and the supply chain.
As operator, Rathlin is currently focused on PEDL183 containing the West Newton onshore gas development in East Yorkshire.
