Premier Oil plc announced the appointment of Alexander Krane as chief financial officer from 15 April, following the company’s merger with Chrysaor.
He will replace Richard Rose who is due to resign as interim chief executive officer and finance director on the same date.
Mr Krane has more than 20 years’ experience in accounting, controlling and executive roles in the energy industry. He worked for KPMG in Norway and the US from 1999 to 2006, followed by positions at Norse Energy Corp, Aker ASA and Det norske oljeselskap.
Mr Krane holds a Master of Science in Business from the University of Nordland and an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics. He is also a state authorised public accountant in Norway.
