Predator Oil & Gas Holdings plc said that MOU-4 well drilling results showed the Moulouya Fan anomaly extended farther than previously mapped at Guercif, onshore Morocco.

Operations showed mixed findings, with two of four prospects awaiting consultant NuTech wireline logs including the M1 Sand shallow interval from 540 to 589 metres TVD MD, not previously considered as a potential target.
The Moulouya Fan, from 779.5m to 809.8m, found to be present in the MOU4 well has extended the feature’s overall area to the southeast.
NuTech wireline log analysis are due to run over one interval of 16m of sand affected by “poor borehole conditions with possible washouts”.
Further log analysis is also needed on the Lower Fan interval, from 860.5 to 879.5m.
At 1,135m, drilling reached the top Jurassic carbonates capped by 175m of claystones “confirming the presence of an excellent seal separating the section from the overlying Moulouya Fan sequence”.
“The culmination of the Jurassic carbonate target now lies 2.6 kilometres to the southeast of the MOU-4 well location and significantly higher than at the MOU-4 well location,” said the company.
Results of MOU-3 NuTech wireline log analysis highlighted 43 metres of likely gas sands due to form the primary objectives in a rigless testing.
POTENTIAL
Executive chairman Paul Griffiths added that seismic remapping and evaluation of the Jurassic was needed for further de-risking.
“The initial well results are however promising.
“The MOU-3 drilling results also confirmed the potential to extend the presence of possible shallow gas to the west of MOU-3 and northwest of MOU-1.
“We are pleased with our drilling results this year and look forward to an extensive rigless testing programme to help determine potential gas flow rates and gas volumes connected to the current inventory of wells.”
Predator’s rigless testing programme is due to begin in the coming weeks.
