INNISS-TRINITY

The company has also been allowed to start injecting CO2 into the AT-13 well in the AT-4 block in the Inniss-Trinity field.

The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries previously approved the commissioning and use of Predator’s dedicated CO2 recovery system at FRAM Exploration Trinidad Ltd’s No.4 gathering station in the field.

GROWTH

Predator hopes to join FRAM in developing the remaining oil reserves in the Inniss-Trinity oil field onshore Trinidad, primarily through CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technology.

A pilot EOR project using locally sourced liquid carbon dioxide for injection into the oil reservoirs (CO2 EOR) could generate a cash flow.

Near-term expansion and growth potential is focused on expanding operations in Inniss-Trinity as well as potential acquisitions suitable for CO2 EOR development.

PARTNERS

Predator’s chief executive Paul Griffiths said the company was pleased to have progressed matters to completion despite Covid-19 constraints.

“The announcement today completes the approval procedures necessary for entering into the extended phase of CO2 injection and simultaneous oil production for the pilot CO2 EOR project.

“We are demonstrating our ability to work together with our excellent in-country team of partners to maintain operational progress through adversity to deliver results.”

OTHER ASSETS

Predator also owns and operates exploration and appraisal assets in offshore Ireland adjoining Shell’s Corrib gas field in the Slyne Basin on the Atlantic Margin and east of the Kinsale gas field and Barryroe oil field in the Celtic Sea.

In addition, Predator operates the Guercif petroleum agreement onshore Morocco which is initially prospective for tertiary gas and lies less than 10km from the Maghreb gas pipeline.
