Power Metal Resources plc noted identification of three zones of strongly anomalous arsenic and gold mineralisation at the Golconda Summit property in Nevada, USA.
PRIORITY
The company’s 83.13% owned subsidiary Golden Metal Resources plc made the discovery from historical dataset of a high-resolution geochemical soil survey covering the whole project.
Rock sample assays results from geological mapping and sampling over Golconda confirmed strong arsenic (a pathfinder for Carlin-type gold mineralisation) and gold anomalism, said Power Metal.
Chief executive Paul Johnson added that Golconda had been designated as a priority project for follow-on exploration and subsequent drilling.
Golconda is one of four projects alongside Stonewall, Garfield where assay results are pending from soil geochemical survey, and Pilot Mountain for which Golden Metal has commissioned three-dimensional modelling of geophysics survey data collected.
