Project owner, Kalahari Key Mineral Exploration Pty Ltd, in which Power Metal holds an 87.71% interest, received the consents for prospecting licence 310/2016 and PL311/2026.
Operations at the site are expected to continue in the coming days with the start of planned drilling as Discovery Drilling Contractors Africa starts mobilisation.
The target is within a “very strong, steeply dipping, multi-kilometre” geophysical conductor, co-incident with the keel of the feeder zone intrusion within target area T1-14.
Power Metal has also completed ground audio-frequency magnetotelluric as well as magnetics over T1-14 and T1-9 to refine targeting at two locations along the conductor.
