Power Metal Resources plc has started diamond drilling, targeting a district-scale nickel and platinum group element discovery, at its Molopo Farms Complex in southwestern Botswana.
LOCATIONS
The company’s drill hole, estimated to reach a depth of 700-800m, is focused on the multi-kilometre, steeply-dipping conductor at target area T1-14.
A ground audio-frequency magnetotelluric and magnetics over target areas T1-14 and T1-9 is also complete.
Results enabled the company to refine targeting two locations along the multi-kilometre conductor, co-incident with the keel of the feeder zone intrusion and which extends across T1-14 and T1-9.
The conductor was identified in October 2023 as a high priority target.
Chief executive Sean Wade is expected to arrive shortly at the site to liaise with the company’s in-country operations team.
The project is 100% held by Kalahari Key Mineral Exploration Pty Ltd in which Power Metal has an 87.71% interest.
