Parkmead reports better than expected LDS-01 flow rates

The Parkmead Group (PMG) reported better than expected gas condensate flow rates from the LDS-01 well on the joint venture Drenthe VI licence in the Netherlands.

Investment: completion of environmental impact assessments and permitting are needed for Papekop (Parkmead)

LDS-01 WELL

The company has six Netherlands licences with a number of low-risk exploration prospects.

The LDS exploration project, within the Drenthe VI licence (7.5%), involves drilling two to three gas prospects from the existing Diever location.

Parkmead delivered first gas in April 2023, with flow rates at around 40m3/day, in addition to excellent dry gas production rates.

The well has been temporarily shut-in to allow optimisation at the Garijp terminal, to accommodate the increased fluid production levels.

The company expects to bring the well back onstream in late May 2023.

“Post-drill modelling work has indicated the well has discovered a much larger net pay interval than initially thought at well completion,” added Parkmead.

The existing DIV-02 well at Diever continues to produce while the LDS-01 well is temporarily shut-in.

DRENTHE V

The company also noted progress at its other licences in the area.

Completion of a large integrated subsurface study is expected in H2 2023, targeting additional volumes at the producing Geesbrug gas field.

Parkmead said that the study would confirm the merits of a potential additional well.

The existing Geesbrug production well is also expected to undergo further work this year to enhance production efficiency.

ANDEL VA

On the Andel Va licence, subsurface work continues for new opportunities including an infill well at the Brakel gas field and a potential exploration well on the adjacent Brakel South prospect.

The work is due to complete during 2023.

Licence partners will also be perform operational evaluations of the Wijk & Aalburg fields which will include plans for refitting the production facilities at those fields.

PAPEKOP

Parkmead reported continued “excellent progress” on the Papekop development as commercial talks advance with stakeholders and owner-operator of the national gas transmission network in the Netherlands, GTS.

The company expects to complete environmental impact assessments and permitting over the next year, alongside detailed engineering, before reaching a final investment decision.
