Parkmead notes start of gas production from LDS-01

The Parkmead Group plc has noted the start of gas production from the new LDS-01 discovery on the Drenthe VI joint venture licence in the Netherlands.

Efficient: well was tied into the commercial gas production infrastructure in just a few weeks (The Parkmead Group)

LDS EXPLORATION

The company has six Netherlands licences with a number of low-risk exploration prospects.

The LDS exploration project, within the Drenthe VI licence (7.5%), involves drilling two to three gas prospects from the existing Diever location.

The targets are LDS-A-CE, LDS-A-SW and LDS-B, formerly known as Leemdijk CE, Leemdijk SW and De Bree respectively.

The LDS wells are targeting multiple Rotliegendes gas reservoir prospects from the Diever well site, which is already in production.

LOW COST

The JV drilled the LDS-01 structure near the end of 2022 and has now tied into the neighbouring commercial gas production infrastructure in “just a few weeks”.

Parkmead added that the speed reflected the operational efficiency of its Netherlands assets, where operating costs are “less than $9 per barrel equivalent”.

“This new discovery is in its initial clean up period, and early flow rates suggest that Parkmead will benefit from a material increase in daily net production.”

Other partners in the Drenthe VI licence are operator Vermilion Energy Inc (52.5%) and state-owned Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) with 40%.
