Oriole Resources plc said it had identified new targets, adding to those in June, from a second soil sampling programme at the Mbe licence in the Adamawa region of Cameroon.

The “three further zones of gold anomalism” of MB02, MB03 and MB04 prospects lie to the east of MB01, with results of up to 0.28g/t gold.
The results are “highly anomalous for soils” and the three zones are “attractive targets” for potential satellite deposits to the main MB01 prospect.
Oriole has also completed two phases of trenching at MB01-N and MB01-S of a total 16 trenches for 7,055 metres.
Results, due during Q3, and the geological interpretation will determine an inaugural drilling programme expected during 2024-25 field season.
“The latest soil sampling results at Mbe, and the new targets generated for potential satellite deposits to the main MB01 prospect, are most encouraging,” added chief executive Martin Rosser.
Mbe is one of five licences within the company’s Eastern Central Licence Package, which covers 2,266 km2 prospective for gold deposits.
Oriole’s earn-in partner BCM International Ltd is funding up to US$4 million in exploration.
