Oriole identifies gold mineralisation at Gamboukou

Oriole Resources plc has identified gold mineralisation from stream sediment sampling at Gamboukou within the district-scale Central Licence Package in the Adamawa region, central Cameroon.

Results: parallels with early work on other CLP licences and at Mbe (Pixabay)

ENCOURAGED

Of a total 407 samples, nine samples graded 10 parts per billion gold or more, and a highest value of 39ppb gold.

The company said that the results were comparable with stream sediment sampling results from other licences within the 4,091 km2 CLP, and also at the MB01 target on the Mbe licence.

Gamboukou covering 499 km2 is being assessed for gold and lithium potential.

“We are encouraged by the stream sediment sample results at Gamboukou, ” added chief executive Martin Rosser.

“Particularly for the gold results, which have parallels with the early-stage work on other CLP licences and, importantly, at the MB01 target at our Mbe licence.”
