Northern Lithium moves offices to County Durham

Start-up miner Northern Lithium Ltd continues to establish its operations by moving closer to its proposed site of activity in County Durham.

Weardale: Northern Lithium hopes to find lithium in hot saline brines in County Durham (Jcolemanwearhead – CC)

In February, the company announced it had secured the rights to explore and extract lithium and other minerals from geothermal hot saline brines in the Weardale area of the county.

At the end of March 2021, the company changed its registered address from Mold in Flintshire to Wolsingham in Weardale.

Originally incorporated in August 2017 as Whitman Acquisition Ltd with Richard Henry Whitman Morcombe as director, the company changed its name in December 2020 to Northern Lithium.

The company’s management team is also taking shape following the appointment in February 2020 of Edward Farquhar as a director.

Mr Farquhar is also a partner and joint owner at Percipient Capital which provides private equity and venture capital to small and medium size businesses.

He joins directors Mr Morcombe, managing director Nicholas Pope and technical director Roger Bade.
