Metals Exploration plc today took full ownership of Nicaragua-focused Condor Gold plc following yesterday’s High Court sanction.

Condor non-executive chairman Jim Mellon is expected to be appointed to Metals’ board as a non-executive director, subject to regulatory checks.
He will be paid a director’s fee on similar terms to Metals’ existing non-executive directors.
All Condor directors have resigned and stepped down from the board.
Metals board currently comprises independent non-executive chairman Nick von Schirnding, chief executive Darren Bowden, independent NEDs Tim Livesey and David Cather, NEDs Steven Smith, Andrew Chubb and Robert Marshall.
Chartered accountant Mr Smith is currently a director of Luxembourg-based venture capitalist Candy Ventures S.À.R.L, funded by entrepreneur Nick Candy, which owns 38% of Metals.
