Kistos appoints James Thomson as deputy CFO

Kistos Holdings plc has appointed James Thomson as deputy chief financial officer with immediate effect.

He is expected to become CFO and join the board on 1 January 2025, subject to due diligence, after current post holder Richard Slape steps down at the end of 2024.

“I would like to express my gratitude to Richard, who has served on Kistos’ board of directors for the last three years,” said executive chairman Andrew Austin.

“His contribution since joining the company has helped the business navigate the integration of its first acquisition, as well as the subsequent expansion into two new countries and into the gas storage industry.”

Mr Thomson has worked in natural resources since March 2019, initially as finance director of RockRose Energy.

He was latterly in a senior finance role as head of design and implementation at Anglo American.

Prior to that, Mr Thomson spent 14 years at PwC, the last four of which were as a partner based in Santiago, Chile.

He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2007.
