Kavango resumes drilling at Ni-Cu project in KSZ, Botswana

Kavango Resources plc announced the start of drilling hole KSZDD002 at its nickel-copper project in the Kalahari Suture Zone, Botswana.

Operations: KSZDD002 has a target intercept depth of 525m to 575m for the B1 Conductor (Kavango Resources)

PROGRAMME

KSZDD002 is designed to intercept the B1 Conductor, a geophysical anomaly that the Kavango believes to be a prospective target for possible massive sulphide nickel or copper mineralisation.

On 14 January, Mindea Exploration and Drilling Pty mobilised the rig and drill team back to site.

Over the weekend the team removed the HQ casing that was left in the hole before Christmas to keep KSZDD002 open.

Drilling was due to begin during today’s day shift after which operations will continue on double shift until completion.

TARGET DEPTH

Drilling began on KSZDD002 in November 2021 with a target intercept depth of 525m to 575m for the B1 Conductor.

Before the Christmas break, drilling paused at 350m.
