Kavango Resources plc announced that Michael Foster will retire as non-executive director of the company on 31 December 2021.
Mr Foster joined the company as chief executive officer prior to its admission to the Official List in 2018.
He helped guide Kavango through the IPO process and was instrumental in setting up the company’s operations in Botswana.
Mr Foster stepped down as CEO on 30 June this year and has assisted his replacement Ben Turney in his role.
He was also integral in the recruitment of Brett Grist, who will join the board of directors as chief operating officer in February 2022 .
Mr Foster has spent more than 40 years in the mineral exploration, mining and corporate finance business around the globe.
