Kavango Resources plc has appointed Tiyapo (Tipps) Ngwisanyi as managing director of Kavango Minerals (Pty) Ltd.
Mr Ngwisanyi is a geoscientist who began his career at the Botswana Department of Geological Survey.
In 2010, he became director of the Geological Survey before being appointed founding CEO of the Botswana Geoscience Institute in 2015.
He remained in the post until joining Kavango at the start of August 2021.
As managing director of Kavango Minerals (Pty) Ltd, the company’s local operating subsidiary in Botswana, Mr Ngwisanyi is responsible for in-country commercial management and liaisons with all stakeholders.
This ranges from the Department of Mines to local farmers and community representatives.
