Kavango-Power Metal complete first Ditau borehole

Kavango Resources plc and Power Metal Resources plc have completed the first diamond drill hole at the Ditau Camp rare earth element (REE) project in Botswana.

Target: Kavango will send core from DITDD003 for whole rock analysis (Kavango Resources)

JOINT VENTURE

Ditau is a 50-50 strategic joint venture, operating as Kanye Resources, between Power Metal Resources plc and Kavango as the operator.

The project comprises two prospecting licences of PL169/2012 & PL010/2019, covering 1,386km2.

DITDD003

Kavango said that hole DITDD003 was completed to a total depth of 300.14m, which it believed had tested the geophysical target at the location.

The company conducted some initial portable X-Ray Fluorescence (pXRF) readings after which it will send core from the borehole for whole rock analysis.

Hole DITDD003 is one of six planned boreholes in the project’s current programme.

Mindea Exploration and Drilling Services (Pty) is currently moving the pad for the next hole in the campaign, DITDD004.
