Kavango Resources plc said results from competed diamond drilling at prospect 2 reinforced its belief that a wider mineralised system extended at its Hillside project in Zimbabwe.

Three holes tested for geological continuity of structures, along strike and with increasing depth, and evaluated grade variation within multiple shear zones hosting gold-producing artisanal workings at surface.
BRDD001 intersected a 7.2m wide “intensely deformed and well mineralised zone” with results including 7.2m @ 9.95 g/t gold from 50.64m and including 1.61m @ 31.57 g/t gold.
BRDD002 intersected several narrow shear zones where narrow quartz veins hosted gold and associated sulphides where best results included 2.00m @ 0.53 g/t gold from 163.00m.
Drilled under the historic Britain mine, BRDD003 intersected a series of shear zones, hosting gold and associated sulphides. Best results showed 2.00m @ 5.27 g/t gold from 312.50 m and including 0.50 m @ 11.01 g/t gold.
Chief executive Ben Turney added that the assays demonstrated the potential for shallow bulk mineable gold ore bodies at prospect 2.
Kavango plans more drilling at prospects 1 and 4 before assessing and ranking the deposits for future resource drilling.
