Jersey Oil & Gas plc (JOG) has appointed Les Thomas as non-executive chairman.
He was formerly a non-executive director and has replaced Marcus Stanton.
Mr Stanton had been non-executive chairman for the past six years and will remain on the board as a NED and chair of the audit committee.
Mr Thomas has more than 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry at Marathon Oil UK Ltd and John Wood Group plc.
More recently he was chief executive officer of Ithaca Energy from 2013 to 2020.
