IOG spuds first Southwark development well

Independent Oil & Gas plc (IOG) announced that following delays it had spud the first Southwark development well in the Southern North Sea.  

Analysis: reservoir and production data from Southwark development wells 1 and 2 will inform an optimal Southwark 3 well plan (IOG)

ROV ISSUES

The company said it had expected to drill the well by the weekend of 18-19 December, following repairs of the Noble Hans Deul rig.

However repeated technical issues with the underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) had caused a delay.

Following repairs, IOG spudded the first Southwark development well at 9pm on 30 December.

SCHEDULE

“First gas is expected at Southwark in mid-2022 after the planned installation in Q1 2022 of the 6km Saturn Banks pipeline extension to the Southwark platform.

“The rig is then scheduled to move on to drill the Goddard and Kelham North/Central appraisal wells while analysis of reservoir and production data from Southwark development wells 1 and 2 will inform an optimal Southwark 3 well plan.”

IOG plc said it had drilled, cleaned up and flow tested the Blythe well 48/23a-H1 within two months of spudding. Cornish Metals appoints new auditor

Cornish Metals Inc announced it had changed its auditor from Davidson & Company LLP to PKF Littlejohn LLP. The Canadian company will recommend the new appointment for shareholders’ approval at its next general meeting due at the end of July 2022.
