ICL Boulby announced a 10% increase in production at its East Cleveland polyhalite mine while sales rose 49% during the third quarter of 2020 compared with the same period last year.
The company said the figures for its multi-nutrient mineral polyhalite were new monthly processing records for September and October.
General manager and vice president Andrew Fulton said he was confident that the company could continue to maintain the progress.
“Throughout the emergency we have been recognised as an essential industry able to maintain – and indeed increase – production, contributing to the need to support food production both here in the UK and the many other countries where our products are being increasingly used by farmers and growers.”
