Hurricane plans annual shutdown at Lancaster

Hurricane Energy plc plans to conduct its annual shutdown during September at its Lancaster field, west of Shetland.

OPERATIONS

The move will follow the company’s latest production of 258 Mbbls during July, at an average 8,324 barrels of oil per day.

On 24 July, Hurricane lifted the 30th cargo of Lancaster oil, totalling some 534 Mbbls, resulting in net revenue of $60 million.

The company added that as of 9 August 2022, Lancaster was producing c.8,400 bopd from the P6 well alone with an associated water cut of c.47%.

As of 31 July 2022, Hurricane held net free cash of $89 million.

Hurricane anticipates to lift the next cargo in October 2022 following the shutdown.
