Hummingbird Resources plc announced that, following recent unrest, it had restarted its Yanfolila gold mine in Mali.

On 29 November, the company paused operations due to public disorder and illegal roadblocks.
Hummingbird today said that the Mali government had intervened and restored order in the region.
“All employees and contractors have been safely accounted for with national Mali government personnel remaining in place as the Yanfolila mine begins ramping back up to normalised production levels.”
Hummingbird added that it would provide further information on operations after assessing the extent of the recent disruption.
