KOEKOE

The company reported high grade intercepts including a hole of 9 metres at 36.35 g/t at the Koekoe (KK) deposit.

Hummingbird added that results continued to support the company’s current interpretation and highlighted additional mineralisation zones.

The deposit remains open along strike and down plunge.

PROGRAMME

Hummingbird is drilling 61 reverse circulation and three diamond holes for 5,567m out of the 24,000m infill drilling programme for 2021.

To date, Hummingbird has received 15,000m of assays from the 2021 programme, with the final assays expected this month.

Hummingbird aims to extend the life of the Kouroussa mine to “well over ten years”.

KNOWLEDGE

The results and the 68,000m drilling from the 2021 campaigns for Kouroussa and Yanfolila will feed into Hummingbird’s revised 2022 resources and reserves statement due during Q2 2022.

Chief executive Dan Betts added that drilling data continued to strengthen the company’s overall knowledge of the asset.

“These ongoing double-digit grade drilling results show we have an asset of significant gold endowment situated in the prolific Siguiri gold region.”
