Helium One spuds Jackson-4 at Galactica

Helium One Global Ltd’s joint venture has spudded the Jackson-4 well at the Galactica project in Las Animas County, Colorado, USA.

Expectations: complete and tie in Jackson-4 to production facilities (Pixabay)

PRODUCTION

Partner and operator Blue Star Helium is preparing to drill the intermediate hole section targeting the Lyons Sandstone formation, with the target depth planned within the Upper Lyons formation gas reservoir.

Helium One said that after reaching the target depth, wireline logging and flow and pressure readings will be used to estimate the production potential of the well based on the production model.

The JV expects to complete and tie in Jackson-4 to production facilities.

The start of operations follows confirmation earlier this week of free gas after drilling the Jackson-31 well.

Galactica is part of the wider Galactica-Pegasus project in which the partners each hold a 50% working interest.
