After joint venture partner Blue Star Helium completed drilling in the Upper Lyons Sandstone formation, natural flow rates rose to approximately 190 thousand cubic feet per day (Mcfd).

The JV expects projected stabilised flow rates of 250 to 350 Mcfd with a maximum potential projected rate of 450 Mcfd.

Helium One said that early gas samples returned helium concentrations of up to 1.18% (not air corrected) and 85.93% carbon dioxide in line with expectations.

The partners planned drilling programme comprises Jackson-27 SWSE, Jackson-31 SENW, Jackson-29 SWNW, Jackson-2 L4 and Jackson-4 L4.

The wells lie to the south and southwest of the State 16 development well currently suspended before tie-in to production.

Helium One and Blue Star each hold a 50% interest in Galactica which is part of the broader Galactica-Pegasus project.
