Helium One gathers data for 2021 drill campaign

Helium One Global Ltd has started the acquisition of seismic data and the mobilisation of vibroseis trucks and geophones at its 100% owned Rukwa project in Tanzania.

Data: Helium One is focusing on areas of known prospectivity to provide greater clarity on subsurface structures (Helium One)

The company will focus on 50km of infill 2D seismic data targeting multiple trapping styles.

Interpreted seismic data will define optimal well locations and reduce risk in drill targeting.

Helium One added that this would be the final technical input prior to the company’s first drilling campaign during the second quarter of 2021

Close spaced seismic data acquisition will focus on areas of known prospectivity to provide greater clarity on the subsurface structures which have the highest chances of discovering helium.

The company added that the seismic campaign was fully permitted and had strong community and government support.

HELIUM ONE

Helium One was established in September 2015 to explore, develop and produce high-grade helium for the international market.

The company holds 4,512km2 of exploration licences in highly prospective helium provinces in Tanzania. The company owns 100% of these licences and has exclusive rights to develop the assets.

Rukwa is in southwest Tanzania where the company holds 15 prospecting licences, covering an area of some 3,590 km2.

Two other distinct project areas within the company’s portfolio in Tanzania are Eyasi and Balangida.

All three projects contain known helium occurrences and demonstrate ideal geological conditions for large levels of subterranean gas accumulation.

Helium is an inert colourless and odourless gas used in medicines and modern technologies.
