Harbour Energy plc’s partner has made a “significant” gas discovery on the South Andaman licence, offshore Sumatra in Indonesia.
APPRAISAL
Operator Mubadala Energy’s announcement on the Tangkulo-1 exploration well follows the major discovery at Layaran-1 well on South Andaman in December 2023.
The partners aimed to prove up additional volumes in the shallower Tangkulo prospect to the south of Layaran.
Harbour, which holds a 20% interest, said that the rig would now move to appraise the Layaran discovery.
