Harbour finds 390ft gas column in Timpan-1

Harbour Energy plc said it had encountered a 390ft gas column after completing drilling the Timpan-1 exploration well located 150km offshore Indonesia.

Drilling: the Timpani-1 well has encountered a material gas accumulation (Harbour Energy)

OPERATIONS

The well was drilled to a total vertical depth of 13,818ft subsea.

The 390 foot gas column, found in a water depth of 4,245ft, is in a high net-to-gross, fine-grained sandstone reservoir with associated permeability of 1-10 mD.

Harbour has also completed a full data acquisition programme including wireline logging, recovered 240ft of core and conducted a drill stem test.

The well flowed on test at 27 mmscfd of gas and 1,884 bopd of associated 58 degrees API condensate through a 56/64 inch choke.

FURTHER WORK

“While the well has encountered a material gas accumulation, further work will be required to establish commerciality and the full potential of this play across the licence,” added the company.
