A technical review earlier this year showed that industrial garnet comprised some 40% of the mineralised intervals across the Desert Scheelite and Garnet deposit areas.

The bulk sample consists of approximately 118m of half-core samples taken from six different historical drill holes.

Circa 300kg composite sample will undergo metallurgical testing in the next few days.

Test results will be incorporated into the pre-feasibility study work currently underway.

Chief executive Oliver Friesen said that results would help determine recoverability of the various garnet species and their effect on overall project economics.

Guardian added it had made “significant” drilling progress since June with results from its geophysical campaign soon expected.
