The results from drill core samples for holes PM24-002 to 013 follow those returned in mid-September from assays of diamond drilling.

The company said it believed that the intersection would deliver a “material upgrade” to the resource model.

Guardian also confirmed an an arc-related “molybdenum-rich” mineralised porphyry system at the Porphyry South target area, and that the Desert Scheelite Parallel West Zone is “tungsten rich”.

Diamond drill hole PM24-012 at Desert Scheelite intersected the “best tungsten intercept ever recorded” at 2.90% W03 and 39.3m of ‘very high-grade’ tungsten mineralisation.

Results also showed 39.7g/t silver, 0.44% copper and 0.30% zinc from 66m.

Guardian has moved the drill back to the site of the drill hole at Desert Scheelite to test for extensions of the zone in multiple directions.

The company is also awaiting amendments to permits which cover “multiple drillholes” into the various porphyry targets at Pilot Mountain.

Chief executive Oliver Friesen added: “It is safe to say we are extremely excited about the results reported today, including PM24-012 which has delivered a globally significant tungsten result.

“Not only did we intersect 39.3m of 1.02% W03Eq, but this extended interval is located almost entirely within the scoping level open pit mine design, in an area which was previously occupied by relatively low grade material from the previous resource model.

“The drillholes reported today confirm that further exploration and drilling is needed to fully assess the Project’s potential, of which we believe we have just scratched the surface.”

Pilot Mountain diamond drilling began in May 2024 with 24 holes completed to date for a total 3,211m. Drilling in hole 25 is underway.
