Assays from drillhole PM24-001 in the Desert Scheelite deposit returned a total 38.7m of tungsten mineralisation.

All three zones are considered to be near surface with the deepest open at depth.

Guardian said it had also begun selectively assaying PM24-001 for gold via fire assay.

The company additionally noted “strong visual garnet mineralisation” intersected throughout mineralised skarn-interval in PM24-001.

The drilling programme began in May with 20 holes to date completed and the next underway.

“Guardian Metal could not have asked for a better start to the Pilot Mountain drilling programme with the significant assay results achieved in the first drill hole PM24-001,” added chief executive Oliver Friesen.

“The coming weeks and months will undoubtedly be the busiest period for Guardian Metal to date and we are looking forward to providing the market with commercial/technical updates, including further assay data and interpretation, as results continue to flow in from the laboratory.”

Desert Scheelite lies east of the Desert Scheelite Porphyry West and north of the Porphyry South targets.
