Golden Metal signs MoU to supply tungsten for nuclear fusion

Golden Metal Resources plc plans to supply Oxford Sigma Ltd with tungsten from the company’s Pilot Mountain in Nevada in the USA for nuclear fusion technology.

COLLABORATION

A non-binding memorandum of understanding will see the two companies explore and develop critical metal supply for tungsten alloy and tungsten containing materials for the fusion industry.

Tungsten, with its high melting point, is needed for radiation shielding and plasma-facing materials.

The agreement follows the letter of intent for an off-take deal with Global Tungsten & Powders LLC of Towanda, Pennsylvania.

Golden Metal continues further analysis and drill planning for the five new priority exploration targets at the site.

In June, Sigma Oxford signed an arrangement with Tungsten West plc for raw supplies from the Hemerdon mine in Devon.
