Golden Metal outlines gold-silver-copper discovery

Golden Metal Resources plc has outlined a fresh high grade gold, silver and copper bedrock discovery on new claims at the Garfield project within the Walker Lane mineral belt in Nevada.

The additional 26 claims, named the Pamlico gold zone, lie predominantly southeast and northeast of the High Grade zone, considered the “most compelling” target area to date at Garfield.

Five rock samples returned high-grade gold-silver-copper assay results including up to 22.7g/t gold, with mineralisation was defined over 4km2, which is now covered by 100% of its claims.

The company said that this potentially represented a “large and well mineralised copper-gold-silver deposit” of the greater Garfield project.

Golden Metal staked the additional 26 claims, taking its total to 65, following previous high-grade results of up to 23.92% copper equivalent in December 2023.

Detailed geochemical analysis of the previous Garfield samples and latest is underway.

Chief executive Oliver Friesen added that December’s results had made it important to secure more ground and understand the project’s potential.

“We look forward to updating the market with further results and next steps, however I can say from my experience, and understanding of the project, geologically and geographically, I consider Garfield holds the potential for a major metal discovery.

“Therefore, we will push this project forward at some pace.”
