A significant 10km2 conductive zone has been identified from historical data review of its Kibby Valley basin lithium brine properties in Nevada, said Golden Metal Resources plc.

The basin, covering 54km2, lies less than 5km from the company’s Pilot Mountain tungsten project to the west.
The company’s data review over Kibby North and Kibby South included a 2018 geophysics survey report.
The survey highlighted a “distinct conductive brine aquifer linked anomaly totalling circa 10km2, of which approximately 3.1km2 is now covered by the lithium properties”.
In 2022, two widely spaced drill holes outside the properties showed that the anomaly was coincident with “significant lithium brine mineralisation including intervals containing up to 924 ppm lithium (Li) with greater than 300ppm lithium over thicknesses in excess of 450m.”
Golden Metal said that there was “compelling evidence” of lithium brine mineralisation into across the Kibby South licence.
“The results of the review have proven the highly prospective nature of our recently acquired lithium properties,” added chief executive officer Oliver Friesen.
“We are extremely pleased with this outcome as it further demonstrates the quality of our technical team and their ability to identify significant opportunities.”
