Golden Metal finds strong mineralisation at Kibby

Golden Metal Resources plc’s technical review encountered “strong” lithium mineralisation in brines and clays at its Kibby North and Kibby South properties in Nevada, USA.

TARGET CONDUCTOR

The findings come from historical datasets as well as liaison with multiple groups who conducted work on the nearby third-party held lithium claims.

Lithium mineralisation was encountered in Marquee drillhole KM22-02, located only 250m from the company’s Kibby South licence boundary.

Golden Metal said that further work undertaken showed that the main target conductor was never adequately tested by KM22-02 because of drilling rig limitations for the then operator.

“This conductor is believed to be the main lithium brine target within the entire Kibby Basin,” added the company.

“Considering the lithium enrichment encountered in brines and clays in KM22-02 above the main target conductor which demonstrate the prospectivity of the entire basin, Golden Metal considers there is compelling evidence indicating a high likelihood that the untested target conductor is also caused by lithium brine mineralisation.”

The company is reviewing all exploration options to determine the optimal way to progress its lithium properties.

Kibby North and Kibby South, acquired in July 2023, are less than 1.5 and 3.5km from Golden Metal’s flagship Pilot Mountain tungsten project.
