Gardline begins pipeline survey for Anning-Somerville

Gardline vessel Ocean Observer has begun the pipeline survey for the gas offtake route from the joint venture Anning and Somerville fields in the southern North Sea.

Bids: the development programme is progressing towards the execution phase of the project (Hartshead / Gardline)

EPCI CONTRACT

Australian company Hartshead Resources NL and Viaro subsidiary partner RockRose Energy Ltd expect the survey to complete in early October, subject to the weather.

The 80.4 metre multi-role survey vessel’s work programme will confirm seabed and sub seabed soil conditions, help finalise the pipeline design and facilitate efficient pipeline installation from the two fields.

Hartshead has also received bids for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract for the Anning and Somerville platforms.

Once reviewed, the bids will be submitted to the JV operating committee.

Chief operating officer Keith Bush added that the Anning and Somerville development was quickly taking shape.

“In conjunction with the ongoing subsea survey programme, receipt of the platform bids allows the team to continue to progress the development programme towards the execution phase of the project.”
