Galantas Gold Corporation has reported its third quarter results on processing of concentrate at its Cavanacaw gold mine in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
The mine was closed on 26 May 2020 because of the pandemic and underground mining remains suspended.
The Canadian company said that current processing utilised low grade stock and, between 26 May and 30 September 2020, approximately 147 tonnes of concentrate was despatched, containing an estimated 551.5 troy ounces of gold.
During the third quarter ending 30 September 2020, approximately 98 tonnes of concentrate was despatched containing an estimated 386.2 troy ounces of gold.
All weights and contained metal estimates are provisional and subject to confirmation.
The estimated monthly recovery of gold to concentrate during Q3 has averaged 95.4%, with low grade feed carrying a monthly estimated average of 2.14 g/t gold.
Galantas also continues discussions with “a number of potential partners” in relation to funding for additional mine development and exploration. However, on-site inspections have been restricted by Covid-19.
