Galantas appoints Micon to revise Cavanacaw MRE

Galantas Gold Corporation has appointed Micon International to produce a NI 43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate (MRE) for its Cavanacaw gold project in Omagh, Northern Ireland.

Compliant: the new mineral resource estimate is expected by Q2 2023 (Galantas Gold)

The Canadian company last year completed its largest exploration programme of more than 4,100 metres, since the 2014 resource estimate.

The new MRE will also include drill results from the Joshua and Kearney veins.

KERR VEIN SYSTEM

“We have accumulated a substantial amount of data, including a number of new intercepts in the inferred resource, and chip channel sampling from five levels of underground development, in addition to the discovery of dilation zones – a pattern of vein swelling and grade increases – identified at both Kearney and Joshua veins,” said chief executive Mario Stifano.

“Our deeper understanding of dilation zones and structural controls enables us to now target drilling at the Kerr vein system, located between the main Kearney and Joshua veins, to test its potential on the northern extension.”

Mr Stifano added that Galantas expected the new MRE to upgrade a proportion of the 2014 resources and fill in gaps in the resource.

“We are also excited for the dilation zones to be remodelled into the resource, and look forward to providing the new mineral resource estimate by Q2 2023.”
